Regional Planning Symposium 2014
June 10, 2014; 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
University Commons Building, Arcadia University
Thanks to everyone who attended the Regional Planning Symposium around human services response in disaster hosted by SEPA VOAD on June 10, 2014!
This symposium offered organizations an opportunity to learn how they can better serve their own stakeholders, clients, and communities, and provided a space for us to collectively consider strategies to build a more resilient Southeastern PA.
Many of the recommendations for building capacity for resiliency were identified in the paper “Ensuring the Delivery of Human Services in Disaster: A White Paper for Southeastern PA.” This paper was prepared for the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey by the Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication Drexel University School of Public Health.
Conversations started at the symposium will be extremely valuable in helping us to move forward together and spark future planning efforts. For this reason, the resources on the right have been made available for review.
